Ten students from The Columbus Academy joined
the staff at HFF to organize boxes, clean
vehicles, spiff up the gym at the
Dowd
Center, unload donations from a truck
and put other items back on the truck to be
distributed. Adrienne Corbett, Executive
Director, first gave the juniors a crash course
in why families are homeless. The students
wanted to know who supports the work of HFF, is
the Dowd Center ‘just
for children who live in shelter' and what do
the older children do? The answers appear
elsewhere on this web site.
